About
The Pickleheart Community
The Hudson River courts are one of New York City’s most eye-catching public courts.
Right along the Hudson River, these public courts draw regulars, newcomers, and everyone in between. If you play here, you already know the community is real — it just hasn’t always had a digital home.
That’s what this is.
The Hudson River Park – Pickleheart Community is where local players connect online. Find out what’s happening at the courts, meet other regulars, and stay in the loop — whether you play every morning or whenever the weather breaks.
The heartbeat of this community has always lived at the courts. We’re just here to keep it going when you’re not there.
Community Rules
- Stack to play. Put your paddle down in a stack of four. When one game finishes your stack goes on.
- Games are to 11, win by 2. One game, then your paddle goes to the back of the stack.
- The 4th court is a challenge court. Stack in pairs of two. Winners stay on, challengers come off the stack two at a time.
- On the challenge court, three wins max. After 3 consecutive wins, the winning team sits for one game. The team that sat then challenges back in against the winner of that interim game.
