Location: New York City (playground-first)
Time: Flexible (typically 5–10 hrs/week)
Duration: 3–6 months
Compensation: Perks, gear, access, events, references (stipend optional for community builder)

We’re building tools, content, and experiences that make it easier for anyone, beginners, regulars, and community leaders, to find their tribe.
What Is a Community Builder?
A Community Builder is a visible, trusted presence at local pickleball playgrounds.
- You play.
- You show up.
- You welcome people.
- You help tell the story of the community.
This role is for people who are already embedded in pickleball culture and want to help their local scene thrive.
What are your goals
Use presence, content, and relationships to:
- Make Pickleheart known at local playgrounds
- Encourage app downloads (top priority)
- Drive awareness of Pickleheart events and store (secondary)
- Strengthen relationships with players, coaches, and community leaders
What You’ll Do
Be Present at the Playground
You’ll focus on capturing:
- Play pickleball regularly at local courts
- Be welcoming to new players
- Help reinforce positive community norms
- Act as a friendly, familiar face associated with Pickleheart
Capture the Vibe (People First)
- Capture short, authentic content:
- Playground energy
- Player stories and interviews
- Coaches and leaders talking about community
- Focus on people and belonging — not highlight reels
- Always ask permission and respect the space
Share Content & Spread the Word
- Share content through:
- Your own social channels (if you’re comfortable)
- Pickleheart’s channels
- Talk naturally about Pickleheart at the courts
- Encourage players to download the Pickleheart app when it’s helpful
- Help people understand what Pickleheart is and why it exists
Support Events & Activations
- Help promote and support Pickleheart events
- Show up early, help set the tone, welcome people
- Capture content before, during, and after events
- Turn real-world energy into ongoing connection
